MycoAlert Mycoplasma Detection Kit

Mycoplasma detection can be performed in 20 minutes!!

The MycoAlert Mycoplasma Detection Kit is an advanced biochemical testing kit that utilizes the activity of mycoplasma enzymes, which are not present in eukaryotic cells, to detect the majority of 180 types of mycoplasma (including all 6 types that are the main causes of cell culture contamination). The surviving mycoplasma in the sample is lysed, and the enzymes react with the MycoAlert substrate, catalyzing the conversion from ADP to ATP. By measuring the ATP levels in the sample before (Measurement A) and after (Measurement B) the addition of the MycoAlert substrate, a ratio is calculated, which indicates the presence or absence of mycoplasma. ■ Features - Results can be determined within 20 minutes using a simple two-step assay - Accuracy comparable to agar culture - Avoids frequent false-negative results seen with PCR or staining methods - High sensitivity detection even at low mycoplasma contamination levels (less than 50 cfu/ml) - Convenient enzyme assay control to monitor the performance of the test
