Custom springs: "San-esu Springs" by Showa Springs specializes in custom springs.
The "San-Es Standard Springs," which can be purchased in several quantities, is a proud part of our lineup, but in fact, we are also skilled at creating "custom springs" tailored to our customers' requests!
"Isn't Sanko Springs the manufacturer of San-Es standard springs?" That's right, but that's not all; we are actually also skilled in "custom springs." The proportion of custom spring production in our annual output reaches 91.1% (as of 2021). It might be fair to say that we are more proficient in custom springs. Especially in the case of torsion springs made from irregular wire materials, we boast industry-leading technical expertise and production capacity. We are happy to listen to your concerns! Sanko Springs does not easily say "we can't." Please leave your "custom springs" to Sanko Springs Manufacturing!
basic information
Do you have any of these concerns? Q. I want to make just a few prototypes of springs, is that possible? A. We can accommodate a wide range from a few prototypes to mass production. We have a complete mass production system in place, and we can start mass production immediately after prototyping! Q. I'm in a hurry, does custom work take time? A. On average, it takes about 10 days, but for small quantities, it can sometimes be done in about 5 days! It varies depending on the quantity and material, so please feel free to contact us. Q. Won't custom products be expensive? A. In fact, there are many cases where even small quantities can be surprisingly low-cost, and using the optimal spring can extend the lifespan of the device, which can ultimately lead to cost reduction. Q. I don't know the detailed specifications or materials... A. Please rest assured. We will thoroughly listen to your usage conditions and environment, select the optimal specifications and materials, and quickly design them. Q. Is the quality okay? A. We provide excellent quality springs by utilizing a wealth of precision inspection equipment and various methods (such as process capability management, gauge R&R, QC process charts, etc.). ◎ We offer detailed materials for free, so please feel free to request them. Detailed information
-
- Special-shaped wire spring This is a spring made from wire material that is not the usual round wire, but rather wire with a cross-section that is square or has another special shape. By using square wire, it is possible to create springs that can handle higher loads or higher torque, as well as more compact springs.
-
This is an example of cutting the tip into a tapered shape to avoid damaging the counterpart component with the spring and to enhance the sliding properties, making it easier to incorporate the spring into the part.
-
- Reduction of assembly costs We improved the CWS (Coiled Wave Spring) for customers who were using a combination of disc springs and developed a multilayer coiled CWS formed by stacking a single sheet of material. By replacing multiple disc springs with a single "spring," we achieved a reduction in assembly costs and eliminated assembly errors.
-
- Tangle prevention measures In response to customer feedback stating, "The ring-shaped springs get tangled and it's a hassle..."
-
We manufacture pipes to prevent entanglement. We have devised a way to ensure that the springs do not get tangled, and we deliver them in a state where they are threaded through the pipes.
-
- Redesign of Parts A customer who was using three components: a spring, a washer, and a retaining ring. In response to their request to "consolidate the parts into one for management and cost reasons," we proposed a product with an integrated shape. This achieved both a reduction in the burden of parts management and a decrease in assembly costs.
