Advantech introduces embedded platforms compatible with Intel(R) new Atom(TM) processor N2000 & D2000 series.

Advantech will widely commercialize and provide embedded platforms that support Intel's new Atom(TM) processors, which have significantly enhanced low power consumption performance. The new platforms adopt dual-core processors for all SKUs to improve performance. On the other hand, the TDP achieves a significant reduction in power consumption, being less than 50% of that of conventional single-core processors. Additionally, the clock speed of DDR3 memory has been increased to a maximum of 1066MHz to enhance performance. These low power consumption platforms, which offer excellent energy efficiency and environmentally friendly solutions, can be utilized as next-generation power-saving controllers in applications such as handheld devices, POS systems, kiosks, medical devices, and factory automation equipment.
