Advantech will begin offering bundled sales and pre-installation services for "Ubuntu Pro for Devices," an OS that provides 10 years of security updates, ensuring long-term and reliable use. Currently, pre-installation services are available for 89 models of edge computers, and we will continue to expand the range of supported models in the future. "Ubuntu" is widely adopted not only in industrial sectors such as manufacturing but also in edge computing devices and edge AI devices used in smart cities, robotics, and automotive applications. Until now, Advantech has sold devices with "Ubuntu" pre-installed and provided support in Japanese. The newly released "Ubuntu Pro for Devices" not only offers 10 years of long-term support but also enhances security, addressing the primary concern of users. We will start handling it as an OS that allows for safer and more continuous use of Advantech products.
