Advantech Co., Ltd. will launch the "Advantech IoT47 Project" in February 2017, with a focus on regional areas and IoT. Issues in rural areas, such as depopulation, industrial decline, and delays in companies expanding overseas, are becoming increasingly serious. On the other hand, there are many companies that have been active for years with reliable quality, leading Japanese industries. Advantech believes that further development and solutions through IoT are necessary in such regions, and has planned this project. In this project, President Mike Koike will visit all 47 prefectures across Japan to hold seminars on IoT. The seminars will target those who want to incorporate IoT into their business but are unsure where to start, as well as those who still do not fully understand what IoT is. Advantech will leverage the know-how it has cultivated over many years in the industrial sector to provide the latest information on technologies surrounding IoT, as well as introduce Advantech's IoT solutions. Additionally, we hope to establish strong partnerships with local companies and discuss IoT solutions tailored to the characteristics of each region.
