When predicting the lifespan of MF capacitors, tests are conducted under accelerated conditions of voltage and temperature for approximately 2,000 to 3,000 hours. Based on these results, the lifespan when operating under conditions slightly below the operating conditions (derating) is calculated. Each manufacturer generally publishes an expected lifespan of about 100,000 to 150,000 hours (approximately 11 to 15 years).
