The Concept Series is a general-purpose, drop-through type rotary valve designed with a renewed focus on safety and usability. Compared with conventional models, the design around the drive unit—previously enclosed by a steel chain cover (safety cover)—has been completely redesigned. This reduces exposure of rotating parts and further enhances operational safety. What is a rotary valve? A rotary valve is a device in which a motor-driven rotor is installed inside a horizontal cylindrical housing. Powder or granular material fed from the inlet fills the rotor pockets and is conveyed downward by rotation, then discharged by gravity. By stopping the rotor, material flow can be shut off, and supply resumes when rotation starts again. When combined with a variable-speed motor, the feeding rate can be controlled. The size of the rotary valve is selected based on the required discharge capacity. Since the properties of powders and granules vary widely, the optimal configuration can be selected from a range of materials, rotor designs, and optional features.
