Induction heating application examples by use: Cap sealing
Process the airtight seal while keeping it clean.
In the food and medical industries, airtightness between the cap and the container is required, but induction heating allows for clean, non-contact heating. 【Advantages of Utilizing Induction Heating (IH)】 It enables high-speed processing, such as sealing aluminum caps onto plastic containers. ■ Highly reliable seals ■ Easy integration into production lines ■ Fast processing speed *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
basic information
【Application Examples of Seals】 The seal from the cap to the container consists of a laminated disk made up of a wax layer, an aluminum layer, and a polyethylene (PE) layer (left figure). The aluminum layer is heated to 125-150°C by an electromagnetic field generated by an induction coil, functioning as a susceptor. Subsequently, the wax and PE layers are heated to generate an airtight seal between the cap and the container. To support a high-speed automated process, the heating time is approximately 100 milliseconds. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*
