Measurement of compressed air cleanliness
As part of quality management, we recommend measuring the cleanliness of compressed air. Please feel free to consult with us.
Our company has over 20 years of experience in measuring and evaluating the cleanliness of compressed air based on standards such as JIS B 8392. Compressed air (clean air) is widely used in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and food. In particular, areas that come into direct or indirect contact with products require a high level of cleanliness. Compressed air contains various contaminants such as dust (particles), moisture, oil, and microorganisms. In addition to new equipment installations and regular measurements, our company also engages in origin investigations aimed at identifying contamination sources. <Advantages of understanding the cleanliness of compressed air> - When using compressed air to blow air from air guns onto products, it can serve as a basis for determining the presence of contamination on the product surface. - It can be used as a basis for determining the presence of contamination from machines powered by compressed air. - It can be used as a basis for confirming the presence of contamination in the air discharged from machines powered by compressed air in controlled environments such as clean rooms.

Applications/Examples of results
- Measured "liquid oil and oil mist" in the compressed air flowing through the compressed air expansion line at a pharmaceutical manufacturer's factory. Verified that the oil cleanliness grade is "1." - Measured "particles," "moisture," and "total oil concentration" in the air discharged from air guns within the factory of a supplier supplying parts to a semiconductor manufacturer. Demonstrated that the cleanliness grade of particles and oil in the discharged air is "0." - Conducted microbiological testing of the compressed air used in the production facility of a bottled water manufacturer. Reported that no bacteria are present in the compressed air (CFU/m³ < 1).
