Case: Tunnel boring machine equipped with EVO synchronous lifting system.
Positioning a 3,600-ton tunnel boring machine at the starting point! A case of a 2.5 km underground twin tunnel.
We would like to introduce a case study of the EVO synchronous lifting system and the CLRG series cylinders. The construction of the 4.5 km Waterview Connection highway includes the deployment of a ground pressure balance machine to excavate a 2.5 km underground twin tunnel. To initiate the tunnel excavation process, it was necessary to position a 3,600-ton tunnel boring machine at the starting point. Ten 600-ton cylinders equipped with internal stroke sensors controlled by the EVO synchronous lift system descend to tilt the tunnel boring machine into the starting position. Once the positioning is complete, tunnel excavation begins. After the first tunnel's length is completed, the system is redeployed to lift and tilt the machine to complete the other parallel lengths of the twin tunnels, ultimately returning to the starting point. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*
