The "carbonator" is a water treatment device that pressurizes carbon dioxide for filling carbonated water. The higher the carbon dioxide pressure inside the carbonator, the better the gas absorption. The absorption of carbon dioxide into the liquid is greater at lower temperatures, so to efficiently carbonate, the liquid temperature is cooled and pressurized.
