**Principle of Self-Regulation** The resistive element, composed of a special blend of polymer and conductive carbon, forms countless parallel electrical paths along the entire length of the two conductors. When the element heats up, this core expands slightly. This increases electrical resistance and reduces the output of the heater. When the core temperature decreases, it contracts slightly, reducing electrical resistance and increasing the heater's output. This technology allows the auto-trace heater to continuously respond to changes in temperature. In this way, the principle of the auto-trace heater is suitable for energy conservation.
