The USM 38 JE is the successor to the USM 35X JE!
Basically, the key layout, menu structure, and operations are the same as the USM35X JE. The USM35X JE has been made even more user-friendly, improving operability and functionality. Screen copies, quick reports, and flaw detection data can be saved to an SD card, making it a portable ultrasonic flaw detector that supports a wide range of inspections from general flaw detection to education.

Main improvements from USM35X JE: • Screen size: Expanded from 5.5 inches to 6 inches. • Waveform visibility: Improved screen visibility and waveform clarity from all angles. • AC power connector: Changed to a semi-circular connector to prevent pin breakage. • Handle fixing part: Changed to aluminum for improved durability. • Storage medium: Changed to SD card. (Internal storage not available) • Screen copy: Long press the confirm button to save a screen copy in JPG format to the SD card. No dedicated software required. • Quick report: Long press the confirm button to save the A-scope display and settings at the time of saving in JPG format to the SD card.
