Benkan Kiko Special Coating Pipe Fittings
Special coating application for pipe fittings is available according to customer requests.
Steel products are easily corroded when left uncoated in the atmosphere, and rust occurs electrochemically due to oxygen and moisture in the air. It is possible to protect the products from corrosion and aging conditions by applying paint. Steel products used in plants and pipelines are particularly often painted, and at Benkan Kiko, we can supply products that have been painted or coated with customer-specified paints, thereby reducing the need for on-site painting work. For products that do not have special painting instructions, we apply temporary rust prevention that suppresses rust for about six months during indoor storage.
basic information
The process of special coating consists of substrate preparation and painting (coating). Substrate preparation: grit blasting, type 2 surface preparation, type 3 surface preparation, etc. Painting: primary anti-corrosion, inorganic zinc-rich primer, organic zinc-rich primer, epoxy resin-based, polyurethane resin-based, fluororesin-based, heat-resistant coating-based, etc. Coating: external polyethylene lining, etc. Additionally, for the bevel area, we can apply temporary anti-corrosion paint for welding that allows for welding without peeling, or leave only the ends unpainted, among other options to meet customer requests. Furthermore, we can also conduct film thickness measurement inspections and pinhole inspections after painting and coating, so please feel free to inquire.
