In short, when we talk about air conditioning equipment piping, there are various types such as chilled water piping, cooling water piping, hot water piping, warm water piping, steam piping, oil piping, and refrigerant piping. Among these, chilled water piping sends chilled water (usually 5°C to 7°C) produced by the evaporator to the cooling equipment, heats it to about 10°C to 12°C, and then returns it to the evaporator. This piping (closed type) commonly uses carbon steel pipes: SGP with a zinc coating. Cooling water piping, on the other hand, sends cooling water at about 37°C from the condenser of the heat source equipment to the cooling tower, cools it down to about 32°C, and then returns it (open type). Due to the risk of contamination with air pollutants, stainless steel pipes: SUS (304, etc.) are often used. Steam piping supplies steam generated from the boiler, using black gas pipes for the supply line, while stainless steel pipes are used for the return line. Oil piping is used to send oil to the oil-fired boiler, and since there is no risk of corrosion, black gas pipes are generally used.
