We will conduct various mechanical tests of welded pipe fittings in accordance with the customer's requirements.
Not only do we handle product manufacturing, but we also conduct various machine tests in-house, contributing to shorter lead times and quality assurance for our customers' piping designs!
At Benkan Kiko, we own various testing machines for mechanical tests, including tensile testing machines, bending testing machines, impact testing machines, and hardness testing machines. Our manufacturing plants, Kiryu Plant and Osaka Plant, are equipped to conduct mechanical tests, allowing us to perform product manufacturing and associated mechanical tests within the same facility, thereby achieving high-quality product management and reducing lead times. Additionally, we conduct strict calibration of measuring instruments and manage calibration documents under traceability linked to national standards, so you can trust us with your needs. Mechanical tests can also be conducted in the presence of customers. Please feel free to contact us for more details. We take great pride in our "monozukuri" (manufacturing) and have received high praise for providing high-quality products to our customers. basic information
Main mechanical tests are as follows: 1. Tensile Test A test in which a tensile testing machine is used to gradually pull a specimen until it breaks, measuring the yield point, tensile strength, elongation, reduction of area, and other properties. 2. Bend Test A test in which a bend testing machine is used to bend a specimen until it reaches a specified angle, examining the presence of cracks on the outer side of the bend and other defects. 3. Charpy Impact Test A test in which an impact testing machine is used to apply an impact load to a specimen until it breaks, evaluating the energy absorbed and the toughness of the specimen. 4. Hardness Test A test in which a hardness testing machine is used to press a hard indenter of a specific shape into the surface of a specimen with a constant load, measuring its hardness.

Detailed information
-
Tensile test specimen (before testing) This is a specimen for the "tensile test." It is held at the top and bottom, pulled up and down until it breaks, and the condition of the specimen after breaking is checked.
-
Tensile test specimen (after testing) This is the condition of the specimen after conducting the "tensile test."
-
Bending test specimen (before testing) This is a specimen for the "bending test." The central part is bent using a mold to check the condition of the test body.
-
Bending test specimen (after testing) This is the condition of the specimen after conducting the "bending test."
-
Charpy impact test specimen (before testing) This is a specimen for the "Charpy impact test." As shown in the photo,

Charpy impact test specimen (after testing) This is the condition of the specimen after conducting the "Charpy impact test."
-
Hardness test specimen (enlarged view) This is an enlarged view of the test specimen after being pressed by the indenter. Measurements are taken from the size and depth of the indentation in the photo.
