This technical document discusses the efficiency improvements in the measurement of mercury in exhaust gases using the automatic pretreatment device "DEENA." The method for measuring mercury in exhaust gases is defined in the Ministry of the Environment's Notification No. 94 of 2016, where the analytical samples are broadly classified into "gaseous mercury," which is collected in an absorbent solution, and "particulate mercury," which is collected on a cylindrical filter paper. This mercury measurement method has increased labor requirements, and since all tasks are performed manually, there is a risk of human error, making automation for efficiency improvements desirable. Therefore, to enhance work efficiency and eliminate human errors, we conducted a study on mercury measurement using the automatic acid and other additive heating pretreatment device "DEENA" manufactured by BL Tech Co., Ltd.
