[Automation and Labor Saving in Factories: Success Case] Foundry Product Manufacturing Factory
Challenges of labor shortages and quality stability in manufacturing lines! A successful case of building a fully automated line.
We would like to introduce a case study of establishing a fully automated casting production line at a casting product manufacturing factory. In a casting production line that operated with 14 workers in two shifts, it became difficult to secure personnel, and as production numbers increased, so did variations in quality and inspection errors. To address this, we conducted an assessment of the on-site situation, organized the issues, and evaluated the feasibility of automation. We provided a one-stop solution from concept development, system configuration, detailed design, manufacturing, to startup. A fully automated line was established, reducing the number of workers from 14. [Case Overview] ■ Background: Challenges of personnel shortages and quality stability in the production line ■ Effects: Successful establishment of a fully automated line - Established a fully automated line, reducing the number of workers from 14 - Stabilized the supply system by in-house production of outsourced processes - Enabled flexible line operations that balance quality and productivity without worrying about personnel shortages *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
