Case of unmanned DX in the casting manufacturing line | Simultaneously solving labor shortages and quality issues
Resolve labor shortages, quality inconsistencies, and inspection errors with "complete automation"! One-stop support from conceptual design to operational assistance, successfully reducing initial costs through the use of subsidies.
We would like to introduce a case study of a completely unmanned casting production line established at a foundry manufacturing plant. In a casting production line that operated with 14 workers in two shifts day and night, it became difficult to secure personnel, and along with the increase in production numbers, there was also an increase in quality variation and inspection errors. In response, we conducted an assessment of the on-site situation, organized the issues, and evaluated the feasibility of automation. We provided a one-stop solution from concept, system configuration, detailed design, manufacturing, to startup. We established a fully unmanned line and reduced the workforce from 14 workers. [Case Overview] ■ Background: Challenges of labor shortages and quality stability in the production line ■ Effect: Successful establishment of a fully unmanned line - Established a fully unmanned line and reduced the workforce from 14 workers - Stabilized the supply system by in-house production of outsourced processes - Enabled flexible line operations that balance quality and productivity without worrying about securing personnel *Other successful case studies are also featured in the "3-Minute Success Case Collection"!
