"Aluama(R) Nut" Fastener for CFRP
A significant synergy effect for weight reduction! An insert nut that allows CFRP to be fastened with metal bolts without electrolysis.
The "Alu-Arma(R) Nut" is a nut made from aluminum alloy. It is treated with a special hard anodizing based on Alu-Arma(R) on the surface to ensure electrical insulation and prevent the occurrence of galvanic corrosion. When molded into CFRTP containing 40% carbon fiber and evaluated using the JIS saltwater alternating immersion method, it maintains corrosion resistance for 3,000 hours. 【Features of the Alu-Arma(R) Nut】 ■ The Alu-Arma(R) treatment strongly prevents the occurrence of galvanic corrosion. ■ Made from aluminum alloy, it allows for weight reduction of the nut itself. ■ The fastening with CFRP material is expected to provide significant synergy effects for weight reduction. ■ Its shape, which allows for easy flow of carbon fibers, provides high pull-out strength in CFRTP. ■ Reducing costs for galvanic corrosion countermeasures also lowers the overall manufacturing costs. ■ Two basic shapes are available to choose from depending on the lot. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
