The automatic front-end measuring machine manufactured by Versatile Technology can measure the height of cans, maximum, minimum, and average thickness, as well as the depth of the can bottom, by performing a 360º automatic scan. The measurement results are displayed in real-time on a liquid crystal touch panel. Continuous vertical measurement of thickness allows for the acquisition of thickness distribution. The cans that can be measured include trim cans (lubricant cans) and cups with diameters of 202, 204, 206, and 211, and heights ranging from 250ml to 610ml. No mold change is necessary.
