SMS (SMS) was founded in 1995 and is a machine manufacturer specializing in screw grinding, located in Alpstadt near Stuttgart in southern Germany. In its early days, the main business was the overhaul of mechanical screw grinding machines from Reishauer and Klingelnberg, as well as CNC retrofitting. Today, the company focuses on the development and manufacturing of its own screw grinding machines. The SH series adopts a traveling column structure, making it compact yet highly rigid and low-vibration. It is suitable for a wide range of workpieces, including worm gears, ball screws, screws for extruders, rolling dies, screw thread gauges, tap tools, and gear cutting tools, making it appropriate for various applications.
