While conventional linear motors typically have cores, they suffer from significant ripple due to cogging and high magnetic attraction, which hinders improvements in expected accuracy, maintenance-free operation, and reliability. In contrast, coreless linear motors are cogging-free and excel in long lifespan. Additionally, compared to shafted coreless linear motors, they offer high torque and greater freedom in stroke length.
