"PasCom S40" (PA) High Folding and Wear-Resistant Biomass Resin
Wear-resistant, low-density biomass plastic material with excellent low friction properties (biomass content over 95%).
Fossil-derived materials and mineral dependency are reduced, with a focus on resource utilization of abandoned bamboo forests and suppression of bamboo damage, using wear-resistant, low-density biomass materials with excellent sliding properties (biomass content over 95%). Certified biomass mark product.
basic information
Compared to standard grades of polyacetal (POM): - Wear resistance is significantly superior, comparable to high sliding grades (among the same material). - Dimensional stability during water absorption shows about half the dimensional change (in 20°C water, 650 hours). - Weight reduction (low specific gravity) from 1.41 to 1.16, an 18% reduction. - High molding precision with reduced sink marks and warpage, low anisotropy, and molding shrinkage. - Antistatic properties with surface resistance values of 10^9 to 10^10 Ω (adjustable within 10^6 to 10^11 Ω upon consultation).

Announcement of new grade of biomass plastic composite material PasCom
We have newly added high sliding grade BFS310 and high rigidity grade TR345 to the biomass plastic composite material PasCom. PasCom now has three grades, making it suitable for various applications. It is particularly well-suited for parts that require wear resistance, sliding properties, and lightweight characteristics, making it ideal for those struggling to find biomass materials suitable for mechanical components. Additionally, despite having a high biomass content, it offers high rigidity, low warpage, and low shrinkage, allowing for the addition of even greater value to products where the use of biomass materials has previously been difficult. Features of each grade: PasCom S40 A standard grade of PasCom suitable for lightweight applications, featuring excellent wear resistance, dimensional stability during moisture absorption, and anti-static properties. PasCom BFS310 A high sliding grade that significantly improves wear resistance by reducing the coefficient of friction. It has a low friction coefficient and extremely high wear resistance. Like S40, it is low in specific gravity, providing a high lightweight effect. PasCom TR345 A high rigidity grade that uses recycled carbon fibers. Its moisture absorption is minimized, resulting in small decreases in physical properties and dimensional changes during moisture absorption. Its specific gravity is less than 1.3, making it lightweight as a reinforced resin.

Start of high-folding, wear-resistant biomass plastic material sample provision.
We have started providing samples of PasCom S40, a low-density biomass material (with a biomass content of over 95%) that excels in wear resistance and low friction, aimed at reducing dependence on fossil-derived materials and minerals, as well as utilizing resources from abandoned bamboo forests and controlling bamboo damage. It is a biomass-marked certified product that, while being a high-level biomass material, possesses excellent sliding and wear resistance characteristics that can serve as an alternative to petroleum-derived POM and PA sliding components, which have been largely unavailable until now. We hope those looking for biomass materials for sliding components will evaluate it.
