The manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries is divided into three processes: "front-end (electrode manufacturing)," "middle-end (cell assembly)," and "back-end (formation and inspection)." In the middle-end process, after precise cutting, the materials are stacked and rolled up, then sealed in aluminum film and filled with electrolyte. In the back-end process, the batteries undergo initial charging and aging tests before being shipped. In such gigafactories, clean transportation that thoroughly eliminates dust and moisture is required.
