Announcement of a 532nm Hyper Rapid picosecond laser for ultra-precision manufacturing of thin-film solar cells.

Our company, leading the industrial laser market for material processing, has announced the introduction of a new HyperRapid NXT industrial picosecond laser that operates at a wavelength of 532nm and an average output of 100W, enabling ultra-precise manufacturing of thin-film solar cells. The second-generation solar cells, which are expected to achieve a dramatic improvement in energy efficiency, are primarily based on new technologies such as thin-film materials like perovskite and IBC (interdigitated back contact) panels. These new solar cell technologies are increasing the demand for ultra-high-precision scribing and grooving tools that can achieve both electrical contacts within the cells and insulation between the cells in a highly consistent, reliable, and cost-effective manner at very high throughput. With this new laser, manufacturers of second-generation solar panels will be able to respond to increased production volumes while maintaining high quality and low costs.
