Coherent Corp. (NYSE: COHR), a leader in laser and thermoelectric conversion technologies for life sciences and scientific research, has announced the introduction of the OBIS XT, a diode-pumped solid-state laser (DPSS) module that achieves 1000mW output at 640nm for super-resolution microscopy applications. Innovations in visible and ultraviolet lasers have enabled breakthroughs in super-resolution microscopy (SRM), providing critical new insights into polymer structures and cell biology. Coherent has also introduced the OBIS 640 XT, a red laser module that matches the high output, low noise, beam quality, and compact size of its existing portfolio of blue and green laser modules.
