We are pleased to announce the new connection type G thread/BSPP for the LQ2, LQ4, and LQ6 series. This product is scheduled to be released on December 6, 2018. G thread/BSPP is a parallel thread with a 55° thread flank angle (60° thread groove angle) according to the Whitworth thread standard. The parallel thread, originating in Germany, is represented by G for gas. The thread standard complies with ISO 228, and the plugs and ports follow ISO 1179. While metal-to-metal sealing is described in the standard specifications, the most common sealing method for liquid cooling applications involves rubber seals. Sealing O-rings are either on the outer circumference or directly incorporated into the connection. While being tightened onto the port, the O-ring is compressed into the gap formed between the port body, the inside of the metal ring, and the body.
