Bilateral timing is an ideal choice for synchronous power transmission in both directions of torque.
It has equal strength on both sides. Power distribution can be achieved on both sides, allowing for reverse rotation drive. The allowable load capacity is the same on both sides. Since the profile (tooth shape) dimensions and structure are similar to shoulder teeth, special sprockets are not required.
