Magnetic field mapping to reduce repetitive measurements in the research and development, manufacturing process, and installation adjustments of MRI devices! ⇒ Metrolab NMR Magnetic Field Camera MFC2046

MRI requires a very uniform magnetic field within a few ppm. NMR is the only magnetic measurement technology that can provide magnetic field maps with that level of precision. In research and development, manufacturing processes, and installation adjustments at MRI manufacturers, it is necessary to repeatedly measure magnetic field maps and perform shimming (correction of magnetic field inhomogeneity), making the accuracy of measurements and reduction of required time extremely important. The NFC2046 magnetic field camera is an improved successor to the MFC3045 magnetic field camera, which revolutionized magnetic field mapping for MRI magnets in the 1990s. The conventional MFC3045 was a groundbreaking product that reduced the time required for magnetic field mapping from several hours to several minutes, with positioning errors below 1mm and levels of human error and drift error that could be ignored. The MFC2046 is a new product that inherits the advantages of the conventional MFC3045 while incorporating the following improvements: - Expanded the upper limit of the magnetic field strength that can be mapped from 7T to 30T - Reduced the minimum bore diameter that can be mapped from 220mm to 40mm - Increased the number of NMR probes that can be mounted on the probe array from 32 to 255
