The "Hybrid Actuator" consists of three components: a servo motor, a bidirectional discharge hydraulic pump, and a hydraulic cylinder, and it requires no control valves at all, with piping and oil tanks kept to a minimum. Despite its extremely simple structure, it can control thrust and rod position with very high precision.
