Daiko's expansion graphite gasket "D-4000"
Expanded graphite is a material obtained by treating high-purity graphite crystals with chemicals and then heat-treating them at high temperatures. It can be used over a wide range from high temperatures to extremely low temperatures.
The Daiko D-4000 is a non-asbestos joint sheet that can cover the practical temperature range of asbestos joint sheets (up to 400°C). Expanded graphite is a material obtained by treating high-purity graphite crystals with chemical agents and then heat-treating them at high temperatures. By incorporating stainless steel plates (SUS316) as a core material, it creates a gasket with excellent mechanical strength. It has a heat resistance level comparable to that of asbestos sheets and possesses excellent corrosion resistance. The D-4000 is a gasket material that has a long-standing excellent track record in Europe, where non-asbestos technology has advanced, and can be used widely from high temperatures to extremely low temperatures. It can be used for gaskets in various piping flanges, valves, equipment, pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, condensers, and more. 【Features】 ■ Sealing and chemical resistance comparable to asbestos joint sheets ■ Excellent corrosion resistance ■ Wide temperature range from high to extremely low temperatures ■ Excellent compressibility *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
