Thermoplastic resin

Thermoplastic resin
It is a resin that softens when heat is applied, allowing for processing through re-heating. Thermoplastic resins are classified into crystalline and amorphous types based on their molecular structure. Crystalline resins excel in chemical resistance and solvent resistance, but are inferior in solvent adhesion, ultrasonic welding, paintability, and printability. Amorphous resins are the opposite. In the automotive industry, they are used in applications such as reservoir tanks, while in the pharmaceutical industry, they are used for eye drop containers.
