Organic EL displays (OLED) display images through self-emission using organic materials. Because they are self-emissive, they have excellent visibility, and the viewing angle is omnidirectional. Unlike LCD displays, they do not require a backlight, allowing for a thinner module. A touch panel (capacitive) commonly used in smartphones and tablets is installed on this organic EL display.
