[Case Study] Response to Legal Revisions Related to Measures for Preventing Health Hazards for Workers

To strengthen measures for preventing health disorders among workers related to indium compounds, ethylbenzene, cobalt, and its inorganic compounds, the "Cabinet Order to Partially Amend the Enforcement Order of the Labor Safety and Health Act" and the "Ministry Ordinance to Partially Amend the Labor Safety and Health Regulations" have been promulgated. These amended cabinet orders and ministry ordinances will be enforced and applied from January 1, 2013. As countermeasures, methods include installing dust collection equipment according to the particle size of the dust, or adopting local exhaust systems or push-pull ventilation systems to efficiently capture dust.
