The DC-AC inverter "NTS Series" is installed in many vehicles. Surge power refers to the "instantaneous" acceptable power value that can be received from a load. Unlike rated output (continuous output), it is the power output (instantaneous output) that occurs momentarily. When powering on electrical equipment, a large current flows momentarily, exceeding the rated current value. This phenomenon is called inrush current, and surge power is required as an allowable value that can accommodate this inrush current. With the surge power capability of the NTS Series set to twice the rated output power, it has become a new advantage that allows for the introduction of inverters suitable for the rated power consumption of the load, rather than for inrush current, enabling use with minimized size and capacity. ▲Note▲ You cannot use the range from rated output to surge power value. Please use it with the appropriate rated capacity for the load. Surge power is instantaneous output, so it cannot continuously output that value. Using a load outside the range of rated output can lead to inverter failure. Understanding the load side, including inrush current, is essential for selecting an inverter.
