We would like to introduce the issues that were challenges at Nakazaku Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of industrial machinery, and the points and effects that were resolved through the introduction of the dedicated electrical design CAD solution 'ECAD DCX.' ■ Background of Introduction - In 2020, amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, management instructed each department to "set important mid-term initiatives for their own department and establish goals and action plans." - There were significant differences in work and technical proficiency among members, leading to a concentration of work on a few individuals, which resulted in long working hours becoming a problem. ■ Reasons for Adopting ECAD DCX - ECAD DCX was adopted as a new electrical CAD because it has abundant design support features and its operability is similar to the previously used ECAD dio, allowing for a smooth startup. ■ Effects After Introduction - Automatic checks for missing parts and consistency between drawings eliminated inquiries from control panel manufacturers, significantly reducing overtime hours. - By using the cabinet collaboration function, mistakes were completely eliminated, making the arrangement of cabinets much easier. - Standardizing the parts master and operational rules allowed designers to focus on creating drawings, and the maintenance of the parts master was also smoothly managed.
