Gas spring (gas damper) with locking function
It can be locked at any position within the stroke range. It is commonly used in office chairs and height-adjustable tables.
Hahn's gas springs with locking function can be locked at any position within the stroke range. By pressing the release pin at the tip of the piston rod using a lever or hydraulic release, the valve inside the cylinder opens, releasing the lock and allowing the piston rod to be compressed or extended. We offer five different types with varying locking functions and a wide range of release options, so you can choose the appropriate spring according to your application. We accept orders from just one piece, so they can be used not only for mass production but also for prototypes and research purposes.
basic information
■ Gas Spring with Standard Locking Function "Type F" * No locking force greater than gas reaction in both compression and extension directions * Types: F06-19, F10-23, F10-28, F10-40, F14-40 ■ Gas Spring with Strong Locking Function "Type S" * Max. 3000N locking force in the extension direction * Types: S06-19, S08-23, S10-23, S10-28, S10-40, S14-40 ■ Gas Spring with Ultra Strong Locking Function "Type X" * Powerful locking force of 10000N in the compression direction * Types: X10-23, X10-28, X10-40, X14-40 ■ Gas Spring with Free Moving (Low Reaction Change) Locking Function "Type SL" * When the piston rod is retracted, the gas compression rate in the cylinder is low, making it ideal for height-adjustable tables and similar applications * Type: SL10-28 ■ Gas Spring Type with Double Locking Function "Type SX" * Has strong locking force in both compression and extension directions * Types: To be discussed separately
