Maximizing the performance of Nd:YAG lasers with Edmund Optics' new dual-band laser optics.

Edmund Optics Japan Co., Ltd. has launched a new dual-band laser mirror and window for Nd:YAG lasers that use a visible light guide beam. Since the 1064nm Nd:YAG beam is invisible, a visible light guide beam at 532nm or 635-670nm is often used to confirm whether the laser is properly positioned. Dual-band optics are an ideal choice for Nd:YAG systems due to their anti-reflective coatings that accommodate these multiple wavelengths, high laser damage threshold (LDT), and a surface quality of 10-5 that reduces scattering.
