Edmund Optics Japan, Inc. has started selling the TECHSPEC® Broadband Dielectric Coated Right Angle Prism Mirror (Right Angle Coating Type). The TECHSPEC® Broadband Dielectric Coated Right Angle Prism Mirror (Right Angle Coating Type) features dielectric coatings on the two surfaces that form the right angle of the prism, while the hypotenuse side remains uncoated. It is suitable for splitting an image from a single imaging lens onto two different cameras or for combining two images onto a single camera. It has a reflectivity of over 99% in the 400 – 750 nm range, reducing energy loss compared to mirrors with standard metal coatings and improving system performance.
