Edmund Optics' innovative 'PeakPower High LDT Low GDD Ultra-Short Pulse Mirror' has won the Innovators Award!

Edmund Optics' Japanese subsidiary, Edmund Optics Japan Co., Ltd., has announced that its "PeakPower High LDT Low GDD Mirror for Ultra-Short Pulses" has won the Platinum Award at the 2024 Laser Focus World (LFW) Innovators Awards. This is the highest level of the Innovators Awards. This mirror employs an innovative design approach to maximize the laser damage threshold (LDT) for ultra-short pulse lasers. The product features a thin-film coating designed for 920nm ultrafast lasers, achieving a top-level LDT, exceeding 0.75J/cm² for a pulse duration of 25fs at 920nm. This represents the highest standard for LDT among commercially available mirrors designed for this wavelength and pulse duration.
