Edmund Optics has announced the release of a new mini free-space optical isolator that provides highly compact and powerful laser protection. Designed for applications with limited space, weight, and power consumption (SWaP), this isolator is suitable for ultrashort pulse lasers and continuous wave lasers in aerospace, quantum, and research systems. The small isolator, measuring just Φ10mm × 10.5mm, achieves high isolation without compromising transmission, maintaining laser stability by preventing back reflections.
