Edmund Optics (EO) of the United States has started the release of the Lumedica OCT Imaging System (OQ LabScope) through its Japanese subsidiary, Edmund Optics Japan Co., Ltd. This OCT imaging system offers competitive pricing and short delivery times while providing resolution, frame rates, and output specifications comparable to expensive systems. Using a laser that oscillates at a central wavelength of 840nm, this tabletop device is suitable for inspections at a depth of 2.8mm in air and up to 2mm in tissue. It is an ideal tool for users of any experience level, making it a suitable option for biological sample imaging, sample characterization, and OCT education.
