Edmund Optics has acquired ITOS GmbH, based in Mainz, Germany, to collaborate for global growth. ITOS-Gesellschaft für Technische Optik GmbH has been manufacturing optical components, including filters and polarizing elements, since 1993. With 24 employees and over 700 customers, the company has achieved success and is an ideal fit to complement Edmund Optics' existing product portfolio. After making an equity investment in early 2017, the acquisition will be completed by January 1, 2018, and ITOS GmbH will become a 100% subsidiary of our company as of January 1, 2018, taking on the role of "ITOS - A Division of Edmund Optics."
