basic information

This is an objective lens designed for biological microscopes. Therefore, the optical aberration correction is optimized, including the cover glass (0.17mm thick) placed on the specimen. You can choose between achromatic objective lenses that correct for chromatic aberration and semi-plan objective lenses that correct for both chromatic aberration and field curvature (however, semi-plan lenses are only available in DIN standard). The thread specifications adopt the international standard RMS (M20.32 (=0.8'') x 0.706 (36TPI)), allowing connection to most biological microscope products. Objective lenses with a magnification of 20X or higher, which have a shorter working distance, are equipped with a spring cushioning mechanism. This mechanism, using a spring built into the tube, prevents the objective lens from unexpectedly contacting the cover glass and causing damage. Additionally, the 100X objective lens is designed for use with the immersion method. *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan, which features this product, from the link below.
