[Development Case] Power Consumption Monitoring HEMS System

Awarded the System Integration Department Prize! Visualization of power consumption using iPad.

The "HEMS System" has been adopted for monitoring the power consumption of the all-air conditioning system "Kikubari," which realizes barrier-free temperature control by Azbil Corporation. Using an iPad, the visualization of power consumption is achieved not only for power consumption itself but also by measuring various signals from wireless sensors, which are then visualized on the iPad via a server. From measurement to server and web application for viewing, E.I. Sol has realized the entire system construction in a one-stop manner. This system won the Best System Integration Award among all alliance partners at the 2012 Application Contest. [Implementation Effects] - By adopting a cRIO with an embedded RTOS, a PC-less standalone power monitoring device can be constructed, allowing installation in distribution boards. - Since it was built as a one-stop solution by a single company, maintenance, upkeep, and responses to issues can all be managed and handled by one company. - In the event of channel increases or other occurrences, additional modules can be added, improving scalability. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【System Overview】 ■ It is necessary to install equipment in the distribution board, and constant monitoring is essential. ■ Since it is an environment where a PC cannot be installed, CompactRIO: cRIO-9075 is adopted. ■ For acquiring information such as temperature and humidity, we have specified the T&D wireless sensor: Ondotori, and connected it to the RS-232C port of cRIO-9075 for data collection. ■ Power measurement is done using cDAQ modules, and wireless data collection is performed using LabVIEW-RT, allowing for a flexible and highly expandable product configuration and construction. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
