【Case Study】Neutralization Treatment of Wastewater from Asbestos-Containing Coating Removal

Introduction of a case study on the neutralization treatment of wastewater from the removal of asbestos-containing coatings in truck-mounted specifications.

We received an inquiry from a painting contractor in Aichi Prefecture asking if we could perform pH neutralization treatment for wastewater containing asbestos paint removal. Since it will be used at various sites, they wanted to mount it on a truck for operation. We designed and proposed it considering outdoor use and vibration resistance with a unit frame. Regarding the removal of asbestos-containing paint, the user expressed a desire to neutralize only the supernatant. Therefore, we devised a flow using a float skimmer and an air diaphragm pump of the ADD type to only suck up the supernatant. We also ensured that the control panel could complete the integration with the neutralization treatment process, and we addressed the pressurization for further filtration of the neutralized raw water with the ADD type.
