In the pump transfer operation, IN/OUT is essential. Broadly speaking, there are submersible pumps and surface pumps, but submersible pumps mainly operate while submerged in the fluid, so they generally do not have self-priming capabilities. On the other hand, self-priming pumps are mostly found in surface pumps, and they are equipped with check valves or mechanisms that serve that purpose near the pump's interior or suction inlet. Pumps that have the ability to draw in fluid are collectively referred to as self-priming pumps.
