[Delivery Case] Transfer of Caustic Soda to Scrubber
A system designed with safety in mind! Introducing a case of equipment delivered to a chemical plant.
A major chemical plant requested us to devise a system that automatically transfers and replenishes caustic soda to maintain a constant concentration within a large scrubber when the pH drops. Since a pH meter is installed on the scrubber side, we configured the system to incorporate that signal into our device, activating the transfer when the concentration decreases. The user commonly uses Iwaki's metering pumps, so we incorporated Iwaki pumps as the transfer pumps, as they are familiar with their maintenance and operability. Additionally, we received many requests regarding safety, so we installed a drain pan to prevent leaks from the caustic soda storage tank and a leak sensor within the drain pan to detect any leaks. [Overview] ■ Delivery: Western Japan Chemical Plant ■ Application: Transfer and replenishment of caustic soda to the scrubber ■ Request: To maintain a constant concentration of caustic soda within the scrubber *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
basic information
【Features of the Device】 ■ The system is configured to activate transfer ON when the concentration decreases. ■ An Iwaki pump, which is familiar with maintenance and operability, is installed as the transfer pump. ■ A drain pan is installed to prevent leaks from the caustic soda storage tank. ■ A leak sensor is also installed in the drain pan to detect leaks. ■ The opening and closing of the lid is monitored by a non-contact sensor, and the agitator and dosing pump are controlled to not operate when the lid is open. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
