The Soli TOC cube is a groundbreaking device that enables automatic separation and quantification of total organic carbon (TOC), total inorganic carbon (TIC), and elemental carbon (ROC) without the need for acid treatment. It features easy sampling with a unique crucible and allows fully automated separation measurements of different carbon species through multi-stage temperature increases. <Features> ■ Challenges in TOC measurement: Simply distinguishing TIC is insufficient, as the presence of ROC has an impact. ■ Importance of ROC: Measuring ROC allows for accurate TOC measurement. ■ Multi-stage temperature method: TOC, ROC, and TIC are measured at 400°C, 600°C, and 900°C, respectively. ■ Carrier gas switching: After exceeding 400°C, switch from oxygen to nitrogen and perform pyrolysis at 900°C. ■ Measurement process: After TIC measurement, return the carrier gas to oxygen to oxidize and detect ROC. An effective method for measuring many samples.
